TIGER Program Classes
Intensive monthly special education advocacy training for parents who want to learn to be more effective in IEP meetings and in obtaining special education supports and services.
Parents learn how to organize their records, support request for services based on their child needs and what to do in the case of disagreements with their child IEP.
Classes are taught by education advocates, attorneys and educational professionals. Upon successful completion of the Beginner Program, parents are eligible for the Intermediate Advocacy classes.

Meets monthly and covers topics of interest around special education advocacy with an emphasis on understanding local policies, laws and regulations and applying these rules to advocating for their children.
Parents in this program are expected to understand special education advocacy basics and are prepared to tackle advanced advocacy concepts.
These are unique community based parent to parent support groups designed to meet local community needs for information, resources and advocacy for local level education system change.
Most groups meet monthly in varying communities in Los Angeles County.
