Advocacy for Children with Autism (ACAP)
We can help.
After seeing an increase in clients with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Rights Law Center created the Advocacy for Children with Autism Program in 2013. To better address the needs of these families, Learning Rights:
Provides Counsel and Advice through Brief Legal Service consultations to parents/guardians of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Provides Direct Legal Representation to low-income parents/guardians of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Conducts Educational Seminars for parent support groups and professionals interested in learning about special education law and education advocacy in the school system.
Collaborates with local agencies that work with children on the spectrum to promote education equity for children with disabilities.
If you are a member of a parent support group or organization interested in learning more about education advocacy for children on the spectrum please contact Kyra Clipper, Director of ACAP & Staff Attorney.
